The result? Instead of a productive, growth-driven partnership, it became a constant tug-of-war. No one was staying in their lane, decision-making turned into an exhausting process, and execution suffered. The business stalled, not because the idea was bad, but because the structure was broken.

The Hard Lesson: Define Roles or Face Failure
